I'll dominate 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to promote next month's bout.

Former two-time world title holder Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge disparity - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Mindset

"I plan to break his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I will really want to injure him. That's my goal."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of these statements, a composed Joshua and social media star Paul - typically known for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning massive financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in round four or five and asserted he would stop the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently being planned for 2026.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul participated in the customary confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
